  • Dock Master/Outside Patrol Security – Serves as the tactical response element for Sands Expo’s Security Department, for both routine and emergency response operations. As the Security Department’s frontline of defense, enforce property rules and respond to incidents, accidents, alarms, and disturbances. As an ambassadors of Sands Expo, provide world class customer service to guests and attendees of all conventions and tradeshows on property. As Dock Master, this position is primarily responsible for safe and secure loading operations occurring on the Sands Expo loading dock, enforcing safety and special dock management safety rules and fire codes.

    Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
    • Able to stand for long periods, climb stairs and ladders, walk for long periods of time, walk on highly elevated platforms, and deal with confrontational people.
    • Able to successfully complete annual fire extinguisher certification.
    • Trustworthy - able to safeguard confidential information. 
    • Able to perform tasks accurately with minimal supervision, and with superior attention to detail.
    • Able to work well in a team environment.
    • Able to work non-standard or extended duty hours as necessary.
    • Obtain and maintain CPR/AED certification.
       
  • Exhibit & Business Service Center Manager - Responsible for supervising the company’s vendor orders for service and ensuring a high quality of customer service.

    Knowledge and Skill Requirements: 
    • Must be familiar with procedures and functions of the supervisors and customer service representatives. Including: Boomer orders, processing of checks and wire transfers.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Detail oriented and works with a high degree of accuracy.
    • Highly organized and flexible.
    • Able to multi-task and meet challenging expectations in a fast-paced environment.
    • Must be self-directed and meet deadlines – a self-starter.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
    • Must have superior customer service skills and strong decision making ability.
       
  • Exhibit Service Representative - Responsible for representing the company in a professional manner as the first point of contact in the Business Center handling our exhibitor’s needs.  Provide a high level of customer service to each Exhibitor.
    • Follow proper phone procedures and etiquette.  Assist customers in placing show orders.  Email or fax show forms to customers requesting them.  Presents resolution to customer order inquiries. 
    • Enter service order data into system including Business Center, Convention Services, Electrical, Internet, Floral, Plumbing, etc.
    • Enter payment information and charges orders.  Prints work orders when necessary.
    • Provide high level of customer service on a person to person basis with our exhibitors at the service desk or satellite desk.  Offers assistance to our customers with invoice needs. Provide support to ensure customer satisfaction surveys data is accurate. 
       
  • IT Service Desk Analyst I - Must have experience with Windows Active Directory, Exchange, Windows7/10 desktop support, iDevice support, Microsoft Office products, printer/scanner support, desktop deployment, ghost, and troubleshooting skills. The ideal candidate must have excellent telephone and communication skills, as well as the ability to work individually, as part of a team, or with clients and other groups. This position will also be required to document and provide end-user solutions.
    • Provides on-site and telephone Level 1 technical support for the determination and resolution or escalation of basic and advanced technical problems related to the Windows operating environments and Windows applications including Windows Office, Outlook, etc.
    • Provides on-site and telephone Level 1 technical support for the determination and resolution or escalation of basic and advanced technical problems related to enterprise applications and databases, security systems and related desktop hardware/software.
    • Troubleshoots problems using desktop remote control products where possible and documents all services provided.
       
  • Parking Attendant - Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of traffic flow at the main entrance and parking area of Sands Expo, while providing the highest degree of customer service. Manages the flow of taxicab traffic and enforces laws of operating taxicab stands, helps guests entering and exiting taxicabs and assists with their luggage. Organizes flow of limousines, enforces limousine staging rules, and enforces local laws regarding limousine staging and driver solicitations. This is an on-call position that operates during select Sands Expo events.

  • Security Shift Supervisor – Responsible for leading, supervising and providing operational oversight for all assigned security officers operating on shift, and primary supervision for all routine and emergency response operations during each tour of duty. Enforce team member work standards and serve an essential leadership function within departmental structure. Closely coordinate and assist Assistant Security Manager with implementing plans, programs, and training initiatives. Primary advisor to the Security Manager regarding morale, welfare, and staffing of assigned personnel.

    Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
    • Previous supervisory experience.
    • Knowledgeable about industry standards and concepts of physical security.
    • Able to stand, walk, climb ladders and stairs, and walk on elevated platforms for extended periods of times.
    • Able to defend self or others from attack.
    • Proficient in the use of computers and operating software, including databases.
    • Able to speak in front of others, including briefings and classes.
    • Knowledgeable and proficient of laws of the State of Nevada, including trespass, arrest by private person, and use of force.
    • Proficient operating telephones and radios.
       
  • Show Cleaning Supervisor – Responsible for supervising Team Members performing daily tasks, including cleaning the interior and exterior of the facility. This position will perform tasks necessary to maintain highest level of cleanliness. 
    • Responsible for increasing the efficient use of machines and Show Cleaning contract labor.
    • Focus on achieving the goals or objectives of the department using available resources.
    • Perform daily inspections in all public space and back of house areas.
    • Supervise, train and evaluate assigned Show Cleaning staff members to ensure the highest standard of cleanliness is maintained.
    • Perform equipment inspections and ensure all equipment is operating properly.
    • Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.
    • Supervise Sands Expo Show Cleaning Team Members and temporary staff, and organize department functions in accordance with company guidelines.
    • Use floor machines for buffing, stripping, waxing, vacuuming, and carpet cleaning safely, according to proper usage.
